Johnny Cash

Alyssa loves music by Johnny Cash. When you get in the car the first words out of her mouth are "play Ring of Fire" ... and yes, she knows the words too. She has now decided that her baby brother's name is Jackson. She had heard mommy & daddy talking about baby names and picked right up on that one. There's a song by Cash called "Jackson" and that's all she needed to hear! We keep thinking she'll move on to the next name ... but she's wanted Jackson for over a week now. She talks to the baby and calls him Jackson, gives him kisses, etc. She's going to be a great big sister.

On the subject of names .... my dad doesn't like Alexander. The funny thing is the reason. He doesn't like Alec Baldwin (because of his political views). I can't get him to understand that (1) it's not even the same name and (2) come on!

We've got to pick soon. Less than two weeks to go!

Hope everyone has a great weekend! We started out great ... spent the morning at the park in the sunshine with Stacy & her two great kids Mia & Max. We also hit the outlet mall in North Bend to buy a few things for the kids. Alyssa & Mia are only a week apart (age) and really enjoy each other ... they are also learning a lot about sharing (sigh). Alyssa is already practicing being a big sister to Max ... who's not always interested in having Alyssa guide him around but he's a good sport.

Saturday we're going to try to get over to the P&G Speakeasy Cafe in Duvall to hear Chris's co-worker Debby's hubby Jeff play. Should be a good time! Music starts @ 7:00 p.m.
